The presenter, who is President of the Hartford Seminary and Professor of Social Ethics, will lead a discussion of the ethical questions that arise when one considers the global economy from the point of view of different countries with varying values. Examples include China, eager to develop at the expense of the environment, and the developed countries of Northern Europe whose first priority is the environment. How do such countries work together toward a shared goal?
