In high school or college, most of us got no further than Mendel; we really did not know what DNA was, let alone explain where in our cells it was located and the function it served. So perhaps now is the time for you to fill in those blanks and be brought up to date on the myriad of ethical issues that face us now that scientists can manipulate embryos and create tissues from stem cells.
